Result-oriented / Impact Monitoring
INTEGRATION has developed a tailor-made M&E concept on behalf of the European Commission, which works particularly well with the Logical Framework (Logframe) planning technique and Project Cycle Management (PCM) used by the EC. In our monitoring system, reports are simultaneously distributed to all stakeholders, in order to avoid delays in the sharing of information. Each of our M&E reports contains a narrative summary as well as a set of specially-developed and easily adaptable "Project Profiles" which enable easy horizontal and vertical comparison of projects as well as unified assessments. They serve as an early warning system for potential problems and as checklists for initial as well as subsequent monitoring visits. These "Profiles" have proven to be easily understandable by professionals from different backgrounds. Impact Monitoring in Renewable Energy ProjectsEach project/ programme has the task of monitoring and verifying the impacts of its activities. Therefore, INTEGRATION has developed specialized packages for "Impact monitoring in Renewable Energy Projects“ offering its services to projects and programmes. With these impact monitoring services we respond to an increasing demand from donors as well as from project managers and team leaders. The product provides the structure as well as the implementation features of impact monitoring accompanying the project. It includes flexible components: analysis of the village situation (survey of village representatives at the beginning and end of the project), analysis of household conditions (household survey at the beginning and end of the project, annual household data survey, monitoring reports as well as a yearly photo documentation). INTEGRATION offers different work packages which can be independently implemented according to demand or as prerequisites in the project/programme impact monitoring strategy. Benefits of Impact MonitoringThe goal of impact monitoring is to observe social and economic changes within the target group over the duration of the project/programme, to record trends and to make qualitative and quantitative judgements about these changes concerning the living conditions of the target group. The impact monitoring results can be used as the basis for decisions, to improve the achievement of a project/programme’s objectives, to provide a stimulus for project management, to alter project approaches and to identify additional necessary measures. Furthermore impact monitoring offers RE projects support in the fulfilment of political goals such as Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s). INTEGRATION project examples:
